What are you looking for in a new role?
I'm looking for a role where I can apply hands-on ingredient and formulation knowledge in a way that goes beyond the lab bench — advising across R&D, product development, and other teams rather than working in isolation. This role's focus on sustainability and ethical sourcing matters to me too; I want to work somewhere that treats those as real priorities, not just marketing language. I'm also drawn to remote, cross-functional environments where I can keep building technical depth while developing the communication side of the work — explaining ingredient science clearly to people outside the lab. Long-term, I want a role that lets me grow from hands-on formulation work toward more of an advisory or technical sales-adjacent position.
What you are interested in working with us?
What interests me about Blossom Beauty Care specifically is the emphasis on natural, sustainable, and cruelty-free formulations, alongside a genuine focus on research and development rather than just marketing claims. I like that ingredient advisory here isn't siloed — it touches R&D, product development, sourcing, and even customer-facing education, which fits how I like to work. I'm also drawn to the training and education part of the role, since I enjoy translating technical ingredient knowledge into something clear and useful for people outside the lab. It feels like a place where I could keep growing my formulation background while building the advisory and communication side of my skill set.
What has been most challenging experience in a past role?
One of the most challenging experiences in my current role was troubleshooting a lip gloss formula that kept failing — the pigment was separating from the oil phase instead of staying evenly dispersed. There was no set method to fall back on like in coursework, so I had to work through it myself: reviewing the ingredients I'd used, forming a hypothesis about a polarity mismatch between one of the esters and the thickener system, and testing that theory in the next batch. It took a few iterations to isolate the cause, but the harder part was explaining my reasoning clearly to my supervisor rather than just reporting that a batch had failed. That experience pushed me to get better at both technical problem-solving and communicating it in a way that made sense to someone reviewing my work, not just doing it myself.
