'm looking for a role that lets me apply hands-on formulation knowledge to real product development, ideally somewhere I can work at the intersection of science and innovation rather than routine QC. This role's focus on AI-driven, data-backed personalization is exactly the direction I want to grow in — using scientific fundamentals to build smarter, more targeted formulations rather than one-size-fits-all products. I'm also drawn to remote, tech-forward teams where formulation, R&D, and digital tools work closely together, since I enjoy translating technical detail across disciplines. Long-term, I want a role that keeps me close to the ingredient science while growing my exposure to emerging formulation technology.

Most of my lab experience so far has been grounded in traditional formulation methods, and I'm genuinely excited by the idea of applying that ingredient-level knowledge within a data-driven, machine-learning-supported process rather than a standard one-size-fits-all approach. What has been most challenging experience in a past role?
One of the most challenging experiences I've had was troubleshooting a lip gloss formula that kept failing during early batches , the pigment was separating from the oil phase instead of staying evenly dispersed. There wasn't an obvious fix in my coursework to fall back on, since class problems usually come with a set method and expected result. I had to work through it myself: reviewing the ingredients I'd used, forming a hypothesis about a polarity mismatch between one of the esters and the thickener system, and testing that theory in the next batch rather than just reporting the failure and waiting to be told what to do. It took a few iterations to isolate the real cause and get a stable formula, but it taught me to trust my own reasoning under uncertainty and bring a proposed solution to my supervisor, not just the problem.
