What has been most challenging experience in a past role?
As an Administrative Assistant at the Aveda Institute, a key responsibility was organizing the annual Career Day, an event connecting students with potential employers. One year, we aimed to make the event more impactful and increase salon and spa participation to over 200 attendees. The challenge was managing the logistics for such a large number of external participants while ensuring an excellent experience for both the students and the businesses.
My task was to manage all aspects of vendor communication, event logistics, and marketing initiatives for the partner salons and spas, aiming for maximum attendance and successful job placements
The event was a significant success, with over 200 salons and spas attending, leading to high engagement and a high rate of job placements for our students (p. 2). The feedback was overwhelmingly positive, and the streamlined process I developed was used for future events.
